Finance Director

This position is responsible for the establishment, maintenance, and enforcement of the financial administrative operations of the City of Del Rio. These operations include but are not limited to Governmental Accounting, Payroll Accounting, Budgeting, Property Taxes, Cash Management, Debt Management, Bank Relations, Fixed Asset Accounting, and Procurement. The role also ensures that all activities of the Finance department follow all federal, state, and local laws and regulations and ensures compliance with Article VII of the Financial Administration section of the Del Rio City Charter. Minimum Qualifications Required: Education and Experience Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Accounting, or Business Administration with a concentration in Finance or Accounting required. MBA or MPA strongly preferred. Five (5) to seven (7) years’ experience of a progressively responsible financial management experience required. With at least three (3) years’ experience in a high-level supervisory capacity required. Licensing and Certifications CPA, CMA, CGFO or CPFO certifications preferred. #J-18808-Ljbffr Gfoat
