Job Description

We are seeking a skilled and dependable Sonographer to provide mobile ultrasound services across various healthcare facilities and patient care settings.

The Sonographer will travel to assigned locations and perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations using portable sonographic equipment. The position requires strong technical skills, independence, professionalism, and excellent communication.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic ultrasound examinations using portable equipment
• Travel to nursing homes, home care facilities, and other assigned locations
• Obtain clinically diagnostic and technically accurate images
• Process and digitally transmit images for interpretation
• Review patient orders and verify the requested examination before performing procedures
• Confirm patient identity using two appropriate patient identifiers
• Communicate with dispatch, facilities, supervisors, and healthcare staff
• Respond promptly to urgent communications
• Complete required examination documentation and billing paperwork

Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited Diagnostic Ultrasound Technology program
• ARDMS or CCI registration required
• Vascular ultrasound registration required
• Echo/Vascular experience required
• Limited license not accepted
• Valid and unrestricted Driver’s License required
• Must be able to travel between multiple patient locations
• Must maintain required certifications, licenses, health requirements, and credentials
