A Front Desk Agent is responsible for welcoming and providing friendly service to guests of the Golden Nugget Hotel & Casino. This position must also exhibit a high level of professional and personalized guest service that embodies the Company's brand standard and core values (K.E.E.P. Kindness, Engagement, Empathy and Positivity). Responsibilities include verifying reservation information, registering guests, and securing payment for hotel guests upon arrival. The position also involves orientating guests to the hotel, providing general information, and responding to guest inquiries as requested. The Front Desk Agent maintains a cash bank ensuring accurate processing of cashier transactions and daily deposits. They are responsible for posting of guest charges to established hotel accounts and cashiering functions to include cash and credit card settlements. They are also responsible for the sales and redemption of hotel gift certificates. This position processes new card accounts, produces cards, and distributes brochures to registered hotel guests only. They have access to the system player rating to input hotel reservations. This position does not have the ability to modify player ratings or make a comp decision based on a player rating. The Front Desk Agent explains the player rating system and card benefits to hotel guests. They exhibit conduct in accordance with all Gaming Commission Regulations, Federal and State laws and regulations, and Golden Nugget and departmental policies and procedures. They consistently deliver positive, courteous and professional guest service in all interactions with guests, visitors, vendors and fellow employees. They demonstrate a commitment to ensuring responsible gaming and responsible alcohol service. They perform any other duties as assigned.

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the duties and responsibilities satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Previous work experience as a front desk agent, reservations or hotel cashiering experience preferred. Must be guest oriented and have excellent customer service skills. Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Effective written and verbal communication skills essential as majority of work time is spent interacting with hotel guests and staff. Must be able to speak English. Professional appearance and demeanor. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of the local area and attractions is a plus. Minimum age requirement is 18. EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Associate's degree preferred. MATHEMATICAL SKILLS: Basic math skills. Language Skills: Must be able to speak and understand English. PHYSICAL DEMANDS: Ability to move throughout the hotel (standing, walking, kneeling, and bending) for extended periods of time. Ability to sit for extended periods of time. Ability to express or exchange ideas verbally and perceive sound by ear. Ability to regularly move objects (lift, push, pull, balance, carry) up to 50 pounds. Constantly walking up to distances of 500 ft. during shift. Frequently stooping, reaching.

WORK ENVIRONMENT: Work performed indoors in a climate-controlled environment. There are occasional hot and cold temperature changes. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to a smoke-filled environment. Work with others in close spaces. Moderate to high noise levels. Walk/stand on tile/mats/carpet/cement.

Pay Range USD $16.00 - USD $16.00 /Hr. Tipped Position
