Description

American Traveler is hiring an experienced Infusion RN for a 12-week day shift assignment requiring outpatient oncology infusion experience and a PA or compact RN license.

Details

• Outpatient infusion center setting treating adult oncology/hematology patients
• Infusion suite provides chemotherapy, iron infusions, transfusions, and IV fluids
• Day shift schedule, 5x8-hour shifts from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM
• No weekend, on-call, or float requirements
• EPIC charting system used

Requirements

• Active RN license (PA state or compact) required at time of consideration
• BLS certification required
• Chemotherapy certification (ONS/ONCC) preferred, oncology certification preferred
• Minimum 2 years of recent specialty experience required
• Infusion center experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Skilled in IV therapy, infusions, and port accessing/management
• Experience administering chemotherapy via IV push and oral routes preferred
• Experience monitoring chemotherapy and recognizing abnormal lab values preferred
• Experience administering blood products, coagulation factors, and central line blood draws preferred
• Knowledge of antiemetics, antitumor agents, corticosteroids, hormonal therapy, and Neupogen preferred
• PA fingerprint clearance (Childline and FP results within 12 months) required
• Valid references and certification copies required for consideration

Additional Information

• Administer chemotherapy, transfusions, and IV infusions to adult oncology/hematology patients in an outpatient setting
• Navy blue scrubs required
• Local candidates accepted within a 50-mile radius at a local rate differential
• RTO must be submitted at time of consideration; no additional time off accepted afterward
• Labs must be completed within 48 hours of signing
• Pass/fail clinical exam not required for this outpatient infusion RN position
