Travel Medical-Surgical RN in Columbus, OH

Seeking an experienced Registered Nurse with strong Med-Surg and Orthopedics/Telemetry skills for a contract assignment on a dynamic hospital team. This role focuses on providing high-quality care to patients in a fast-paced environment, supporting night shift operations to ensure optimal coverage and patient outcomes.


Schedule:

• Night shift: 7:00pm - 7:30am

Qualifications:

• Current, active Registered Nurse license without restrictions
• Minimum of 1 year recent experience in MS/Ortho/Telemetry settings
• Proficient with assessment, medication administration, and EMR documentation
• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required; ACLS preferred
• Excellent communication, collaboration, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to adapt to float assignments within similar care areas as operationally needed

Key Responsibilities:

• Deliver patient-centered care in accordance with physician orders and established protocols
• Monitor, assess, and document patient condition and progress using EMR systems
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure effective and safe patient care planning
• Respond quickly and efficiently to changes in patient status and emergencies
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, and recovery processes
• Uphold best practices in infection prevention, safety, and regulatory compliance
• Be flexible with assignments, providing care across units or facilities as needed to fulfill contracted hours
