Plant Maintenance Supervisor - 3rd Shift (Relocation)

Job Overview The Maintenance Supervisor will lead dynamic maintenance teams in the installation, repair, and preventive maintenance of all critical equipment across the plant, facilities, utilities, and powerhouse. The role ensures smooth operations, minimizes mechanical downtime, and maximizes production efficiency. Key Responsibilities Lead teams of maintenance mechanics and electricians in predictive, preventive, and repair activities. Train employees on proper work methods and safety procedures. Supervise and support maintenance systems, processes, and documentation. Schedule maintenance activities in collaboration with Production to address equipment and facility repairs. Develop and implement effective maintenance systems such as TPM, SOPs, and safety programs. Provide long-term solutions and day‑to‑day support for troubleshooting, problem analysis, and equipment failures. Develop and maintain Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for maintenance performance. Provide regular status reports to maintenance management. Ensure maintenance tasks comply with USDA regulations and maintain accurate records of work performed and inventory. Assume responsibility for required tasks and responsibilities in the absence of key personnel. Drive a positive employee experience through leadership, development, and coaching. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Minimum of 2 years of relevant experience. Experience leading by providing training, coaching, or mentoring to less experienced staff. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Office. Ability to work long hours and weekends as required. Preferred Skills and Experience Advanced technical skills in ammonia refrigeration, high‑pressure boiler, compressed air, and mechanical and electrical fields (including PLCs and instrumentation). Proven knowledge of maintenance systems, work order processes, preventive/predictive maintenance, TPM, inventory, and scheduling software. Strong leadership skills: conflict resolution, facilitation, change management, decision‑making, empowerment, and delegation. Excellent planning and prioritization skills. Ability to work well with others in a fast‑paced, dynamic environment. Bilingual proficiency is a plus. Physical Demands Ability to supervise and guide employees in the Maintenance Department, including interviewing, hiring, training, and performance management.
