Key Responsibilities\n

• Conduct comprehensive mental health evaluations and assessments to identify the unique needs and challenges faced by children and adolescents.

• Collaborate with child psychiatrists and multidisciplinary team members to coordinate and optimize patient care, ensuring a comprehensive and integrated approach.

• Provide crisis intervention services to children and their families during times of urgent mental health need.

• Educate clients and their families regarding mental health awareness, treatment options, and available community resources to empower them in their recovery journey.

• Maintain up-to-date and accurate electronic health records, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations regarding patient privacy and documentation.

• Actively participate in ongoing professional development, case consultations, and team meetings to enhance therapeutic skills and contribute to a culture of learning.

Qualifications\n

• A Master’s or Doctoral degree in Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Mental Health Counseling, or Psychology from an accredited program.

• Current licensure as an LCSW, LMHC, or LMFT in New York State.

• Solid understanding of child and adolescent mental health disorders, therapeutic modalities, and best practices in the field.

• Experience providing individual and family therapy, with a focus on young clients.

• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, complemented by a compassionate, child-centered approach to therapy.

• Adept at building rapport and fostering trust with children and their families.

Compensation and Benefits\n
