Safety Manager

Construction Safety Manager Location: Kerrville, TX Duration: 6 Months (Immediate Start) Type: 1099 Contractor Compensation & Schedule Pay Rate: $52/hr Per Diem: $125/Day Completion Bonus: $150/month Pay Frequency: Weekly Schedule: Monday-Friday | 7:00 AM - 5:00 PM Approximately 50 Hours Per Week Why This Opportunity? Join a contractor supporting the early phases of a large-scale data center construction project in Kerrville, TX. This role will oversee safety for trenching, excavation, underground utility installation, and heavy equipment operations while ensuring work is completed safely and in compliance with OSHA standards. This is an excellent opportunity for a construction safety professional with strong excavation experience who enjoys maintaining a visible field presence and supporting high-risk civil construction activities on a rapidly growing data center project. Required Qualifications OSHA 500 or 510 Certification Minimum 5 years of construction safety experience Proven trenching and excavation safety experience Preferred Qualifications Data center construction experience Competent Person - Excavation & Trenching Bilingual Preferred Experience working around heavy equipment and earthmoving operations CHST, ASP, CSP, or other BCSP credential What You'll Be Doing Oversee daily safety activities for trenching and excavation operations Conduct routine site inspections, audits, and risk assessments Monitor excavation protection systems, spoil pile placement, and safe access/egress Support underground utility installation and civil construction activities Monitor heavy equipment operations and material handling Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and project safety requirements Lead incident investigations and corrective action implementation Review Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs), excavation permits, and pre-task plans Maintain safety documentation, reports, and compliance records Partner with project leadership to proactively identify and mitigate hazards Promote a positive safety culture throughout the project Technical Knowledge Candidates should have working knowledge of: OSHA Construction Standards OSHA 29 CFR 1926 Subpart P (Excavations) Trenching & Excavation Safety Protective Systems (Sloping, Shoring & Shielding) Underground Utility Installation Heavy Equipment Operations Soil Classification & Hazard Recognition Utility Locating & Damage Prevention Job Hazard Analysis (JHA) Development Incident Investigation & Root Cause Analysis Contractor Safety Management Construction Risk Assessment & Mitigation What Success Looks Like The ideal candidate is a highly visible, field-focused safety professional who can proactively identify excavation hazards, ensure compliance with OSHA trenching requirements, collaborate effectively with field crews and project leadership, and support the safe execution of civil construction activities on a fast-paced data center project. #J-18808-Ljbffr Sheakley Workforce Staffing
