As a Financial Data Analyst, you'll play a key role in empowering strategic decision-making through financial analysis, business intelligence, profitability reporting, and data-driven storytelling. Working collaboratively with teams across Finance, Lending, Marketing, Operations, Digital Banking, and Data & Financial Performance, you'll deliver actionable insights that drive organizational success while building valuable skills and experience for long-term career growth at Foothill.Essential Duties and Responsibilities:The job duties, responsibilities, and requirements represent the required knowledge, skill, and/or ability but may not be all-inclusive. Additional functions and requirements may be assigned by supervisors as deemed appropriate.Financial Analysis:Prepare monthly variance analyses comparing actual results to budget and prior periodsAssist with annual budget preparation and quarterly forecastsPrepare financial models and ad hoc analysesAnalyze financial trends and identify anomaliesAssist in preparing executive and Board reportsPrepare daily cash and liquidity reportsAssist with cash flow forecastingPrepare investment summaries and investment activity reportsAssist with loan, deposit, and concentration risk analysesSupport asset/liability management reportingAssist to perform product, branch, and portfolio profitability analysesAssist with ROI analyses for marketing campaigns and strategic initiativesMonitor key performance indicators (KPIs)Prepare business performance reports for managementDevelop and maintain Power BI dashboardsCreate automated reports using Excel, Power Query, and Power BIAssist with SQL queries to retrieve and validate dataEnsure data accuracy and consistency across reportsIdentify trends, exceptions, and business opportunities through data analysisAssist in automating recurring reports and manual processesUtilize AI tools to improve productivity, reporting, and documentationRecommend process improvements to increase efficiencyWork with Finance, Lending, Marketing, Operations, and Digital Banking to understand reporting needsAssist in translating business requirements into reporting solutionsPresent findings and recommendations to management as appropriateAssist with requests from auditors and regulatory examinersMaintain supporting documentation for financial analysesEnsure reports comply with regulatory and internal reporting standardsExperience/Education Requirements:Bachelor's degree in finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Analytics, or Business Administration requiredMaster's degree in finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field is preferredMinimum of two (2) year of experience in financial analysis, accounting, business intelligence, data analysis, or bankingExperience in financial services, credit union, or banking preferredOther Essential Skills and Abilities:Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (Pivot Tables, Power Query, Lookup Functions, etc.)Knowledge of Financial ModelingSolid budgeting and forecasting fundamentalsMust display excellent communication skills, writing skills, and excellent listening skills, including the ability to present information effectivelyMust have advanced knowledge and experience with Windows Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusionsMust be team-oriented and a strong communicator and relationship builder while establishing trust and credibilityAbility to collect, analyze, and summarize data and prepare clear and concise reportsExperience driving, leading, and managing organizational change.Ability to prioritize and efficiently handle a variety of tasks at one time in a busy and dynamic work environmentAbility to maintain a good working relationship with all team members, vendors, and members; use good judgment in recognizing the scope of authorityFoothill Credit Union is an Equal Opportunity Employer and does not discriminate against any team member or applicant for employment because of race, color, sex, age, national origin, religion, sexual orientation, gender identity, intersectionality, status as a veteran, and basis of disability or any other federal, state, or local protected class.Compensation details: 35.5-38.5 Hourly Wage
