Nampa, ID Pro Shop Coordinator Hiring Salary Range: $20.00 - $21.17/hour DOE Department: Parks & Recreation Reports to: PGA Associate Head Golf Pro FLSA Status: Non-Exempt Benefits Eligible: Yes PERSI Eligible: Yes Travel Required: None Position(s) Supervised: Club House and Snack Bar Personnel, and outside cart staff Schedule: Tuesday through Saturday, 8:00am - 4:00pm (flexible hours) Position Summary The principal function of this role is to provide customer service in the golf pro‑shop, train seasonal workers on the point‑of‑sale system and customer service standards, schedule seasonal workforce for the pro‑shop and snack bar, and supervise seasonal employees. Essential Functions Collect green fees, start golfers on time, and maintain accurate point‑of‑sale records. Provide high‑level customer service and coach seasonal staff. Supervise and schedule cart staff and kitchen staff. Complete inventory audits monthly. Provide golf instruction when needed. Assist in conducting golf tournament events. Lead when Head and Assistant Golf Professionals are absent. Communicate information and concerns clearly and professionally. Respect opinions of others and maintain positive relationships with employees and supervisors. Perform other duties as assigned. Additional Functions Excellent customer service skills. Knowledge of basic computer programs. Leadership abilities and skills. Required Education, Experience, & Certifications High School Graduate or GED. At least 2 years experience in a golf pro‑shop or equivalent. Authorized to serve alcohol and minimum age 19. Enrollment in or completion of the PGA Apprentice Program. Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Establish and maintain effective working relationships. Effectively manage stress from high patron volume. Perform diverse duties accurately and swiftly under time pressure. Communicate effectively, both orally and in writing. Operate point‑of‑sale system for green‑fee collection and tee‑time management. Reconcile point‑of‑sale transactions and handle bank deposits. Support tournament operations and related golf functions. Demonstrate integrity, ingenuity, and inventiveness. Working Environment The position is performed in a golf‑course setting. Essential Physical Abilities Finger dexterity to operate a computer, telephone and related equipment. Clear speech to communicate instructions effectively. Hearing sufficient to engage in normal conversations. Visual acuity to review materials, perform reading, and conduct inspections. Physical strength and personal mobility to maneuver in an office environment; may lift up to 20 lbs.
