The ideal candidate will have solid experience managing accounting functions, leading a small team to ensure accurate financial reporting, compliance, and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities Accounting Operations Oversee day‑to‑day accounting activities including accounts payable, accounts receivable, inventory accounting, and general ledger management. Manage month‑end and year‑end close processes, ensuring accuracy and timeliness of all financial statements. Prepare journal entries, reconciliations, and supporting schedules for internal and external reporting. Maintain accurate records of revenue recognition, COGS, and intercompany transactions. Lead the preparation of financial statements in accordance with GAAP. Inventory & Distribution Manage cost accounting and inventory valuation processes, including reconciliations between warehouse management systems and NetSuite. Collaborate with logistics and operations to ensure accurate tracking of goods in transit, landed costs, and returns. Leadership & Compliance Supervise and mentor accounting staff, ensuring adherence to policies and deadlines. Support annual audit and tax filings by preparing schedules and coordinating with external auditors. Maintain compliance with state and local sales tax reporting, including nexus for multi‑state distribution. Drive continuous improvement and support scalability as the company grows. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; Inventory or cost accounting experience is a plus Advanced Excel and reporting skills Proven ability to lead a small team and thrive in a fast‑paced, growth‑oriented environment. Excellent attention to detail, organizational, and communication skills.
