Supervisory Facility Operations Specialist

Department of the Interior

Job DutiesSome of the major duties you will perform include but are not limited to the following:Serves as the facility management expert in support of park unit management initiatives.Implements Facility Management Software Systems for cost effective management of assets. Performs and maintains asset inventories and condition assessments for the purpose of maintenance cost for annual and multi-year plans.Determines and recommends project scope, goals and objectives, and alternatives for facility modifications when infrastructure capabilities cannot support mission requirements.Responsible for implementing current safety and training program to eliminate at-risk behaviors and environments enforcing regulatory policies and mandates.Prepares annual work budget plans for maintenance operations using the NPS financial management programs. Participates in the preparation of Operating Financial System (OFS) requests and identifies program deficiencies.Initiates actions and serves as the liaison for compliance of environmental/cultural issues related to project proposals and park operations. Responsible for implementing programs to address pollution prevention, conservation and sustainable operations.Supervisory duties.
