Windows Systems Engineer, Region Services

Salary: $116,400 - 116,400 per year Requirements:

• We require an associates degree or higher, or a qualifying certification such as Cloud+, GICSP, GSEC, or SSCP.
• We expect at least 5 years of experience supporting Windows operating systems, including four of the following areas: Active Directory, DHCP, PowerShell, email workflow, SCCM, SCOM, Windows OS, DNS, and disaster recovery or business continuity.
• We need hands-on experience administering, maintaining, and operating Active Directory-based Windows networks, along with solid networking fundamentals and troubleshooting ability.
• We require proven scripting capability in a Windows environment using PowerShell.
• We require an active U.S. Government TS/SCI security clearance with polygraph, and the ability to maintain it.
• We require the ability to opt into a commensurate clearance for each government agency we support.

• We support and maintain Windows infrastructure services across multiple isolated Amazon Dedicated Cloud environments, including Active Directory, DFS, DHCP, DNS, ECM, and Group Policy.
• We build and maintain Ansible playbooks and PowerShell automation for service configuration, deployment, and lifecycle management.
• We troubleshoot and resolve issues across the Windows infrastructure stack, including escalation support for Tier 1 and Tier 2 teams.
• We convert manual operational tasks into repeatable, code-based automation.
• We define service health metrics and maintain alerting to enable proactive response.
• We work with the Security Compliance team to ensure services meet security hardening and compliance standards.
• We create and keep up to date operational documentation such as runbooks, architecture diagrams, and standard operating procedures.
• We mentor junior team members on Windows infrastructure and automation best practices.
• We participate in an on-call rotation for service-impacting incidents.
