Our team is committed to partnering with our seniors to remain at home through promoting open communication and shared decision making while providing excellent care and services.Benefits of the Activities Coordinator:Monday - Friday, Daylight ScheduleCompetitive PayComprehensive Benefits Package401kPaid Time OffPaid Holidays OffMileage ReimbursementResponsibilitiesThe Activities Coordinator must also oversee a number of other key responsibilities, including:Administering all activities functions as they relate to group and individual Plans of Care for Senior LIFESupervising and training activities staffManaging all activities-based project assignments, including program execution on time and on budgetDeveloping and executing therapeutic programs, centering on social and recreational activities, always keeping focused on the unique needs of the center's elderly populationEnsuring a safe, positive environment for all members as well as activities department staffEnsuring activities staff alignment with the interdisciplinary care plan approach, while serving as a key voice on these larger teamsProviding individualized support and assistance for members requiring additional care during activities and programmingOngoing inspection of and audits for activities, recreational spaces and equipment, ensuring compliance with all center, state and federal mandatesQualificationsThe Activities Coordinator will also be responsible for managing and overseeing a number of administrative functions for the department, including relevant documentation to medical records. Additionally, the Activities Coordinator will be expected to participate in ongoing professional development and training to ensure full compliance with industry-wide protocol as well as to keep Senior LIFE's activities program highly competitive in the marketplace.Candidates should have a minimum of two years' experience in a social or recreational role that specifically centers on the elderly community. Strong communication skills as well as an ability to thrive and inspire in a team-based setting are key to this role. An ability to organize, prioritize, and effectively implement new practices and procedures and a desire to effect positive change within an underserved community are also essential characters Senior LIFE looks for in this role.Since some travel to member's homes is required, a valid driver's license and reliable mode of transportation is also mandatory.EOE
