Job Category Teller, New Accounts Employee Type Non-Exempt Manage Others No Contact information Phone View phone number on click.appcast.io Email View email address on click.appcast.io Description Job Summary: The Teller/New Accounts role is responsible for assisting customers with financial transactions including paying out and receiving cash, opening and closing accounts and issuing negotiable instruments. Other responsibilities include answering customer inquiries, resolving complaints, and servicing ATMs. The incumbent will provide excellent customer service and promote long-term customer relationships. This is a full-time position and hours will be Monday through Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm with a rotating Saturday morning. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Assist customers with daily banking transactions including cashing checks, deposits, transferring funds, non-negotiable instruments and loan payments. Answer phone calls and assist or transfer customers as needed. Sort and distribute mail. Balance cash drawer on a daily basis and keep off ages to a minimum. Balance the vault as assigned. Open and close accounts including checking, savings and certificates of deposit. Cross sell accounts and products to ensure customer needs are met. Process check orders. Complete Currency Transaction Reports when needed. Balance, maintain and supply ATMs. Process deposits from the night depository. Research and resolve customer issues. Assist customers with opening, closing, or accessing their safe deposit box. Understand and comply with banking regulations by following bank policies and procedures. Complete all other duties as assigned. Required Skills Excellent verbal, written and phone communication skills. Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and high level of accuracy. Ability to multi-task and organize priorities. Ability to work both independently and in a team environment. Maintain a high level of confidentiality. Able to lift 10-15 pounds at times.
