Job Description
Job Title: Registered Nurse

License: Current nursing license required (NC or Compact License pending acceptable)
Certifications: BCLS required, ACLS preferred


Must-Have:
Must have orthopedic work experience.
Traveler experience accepted with Epic experience.


Description:
RTO after booking is not allowed.
Call-offs or additional RTO could lead to cancellation.
Must have experience in orthopedics.
Expect a patient ratio of 5-6:1, which can flex up to 7:1 in extreme cases.
Floating to other medical-surgical units may be required.
Every other weekend coverage is required.
If an RN calls out on a weekend, they must make up that time on a weekend.
The average daily census is 37 patients in a fast-paced unit.
Patients include orthopedic, neuro spine, med-surg, and post-surgical populations.
Nurses must effectively manage pain for orthopedic and spine patients.
Responsibilities include IV starts and telemetry.
All nurses must pass EKG testing prior to the start.
No holiday RTO will be approved.
Must be open to floating within or near the facility based on staffing needs.
Candidates may be required to work two of three major holidays.
Weekends are mandatory every other weekend.
Current Covid protocols allow for patients to be cared for on all units.
Nurses must be customer service oriented due to the patient population.
All RTO must be pre-approved, and no additional RTO can be requested after signing.
References can be pending at submission.
Pre-start modules will need to be completed prior to starting.
