Job Description
TITLE
Registered Nurse - Cardiac Telemetry / Stepdown

SCHEDULE
Shift: 12-hour nights, 18:45-07:15

ASSIGNMENT DETAILS
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Guaranteed Hours: 36 or 48 hours per week

REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum 2 years of RN experience
- Cardiac telemetry experience required
- Required certifications: ACLS, BLS (BCLS), NIHSS
- Preferred: Stepdown experience
- License: NC or Compact license pending acceptable for submittal
- EMR: Epic

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Monitor high-acuity cardiac patients, including those with arrhythmias, heart failure, and post-procedure care.
- Manage cardiac drips and dysrhythmia management.
- Perform IV starts and provide peripheral and central line care.
- Administer blood products and participate in rapid response/code teams.
- Provide non-invasive airway support as needed.

COMPLIANCE / NOTES
- COVID-19 vaccine: Not required
- Flu vaccine: Required (medical/religious exemptions allowed)
- Orientation: 3 days (including Epic training)
- Pre-start modules required (acute care modules ~8-10 hours)
