Medical Lab Scientist/Medical Technologist

Holiday Coverage Required

EMR: EPIC

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform testing in Hematology, Blood Bank, Chemistry, Urinalysis, and/or Microbiology

• Collect and process patient specimens

• Analyze and validate test results before release

• Perform quality control and proficiency testing

• Troubleshoot QC results and laboratory instrumentation

• Perform equipment maintenance, calibration, and minor troubleshooting

• Maintain required competencies and support training of new staff

Requirements

MUST-HAVE REQUIREMENTS

• Current MLT/MLS Generalist Certification OR Specialty Certification

  • BB, C, H, or M accepted

• Hematology experience – REQUIRED

• Blood Bank experience – REQUIRED

• Must be qualified to perform high-complexity testing under CLIA 493.1489

• Education verification required

• Strong experience performing both automated and manual laboratory testing
