Job Title: Registered Nurse - Emergency Department Profession: RN Specialty: RN - ER Duration: 5 weeks Shift: Day Shift Hours per Shift: 36-48 hours per week Experience: Recent EPIC experience required License: Registered Nurse (RN) licensure in the state of practice required Certifications: - Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification or Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from approved vendor required - ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) required - AHA-PALS certification required - Techniques for Effective Aggression Management (TEAM) or equivalent required - NIH Stroke Scale (NIHSS) certification required Must-Have: Recent EPIC experience Description: Delivers coordinated nursing care for patients according to established standards of care. Supervises and directs the activities of various levels of assigned nursing staff. Coordinates care with other disciplines while utilizing critical thinking and professional judgment. Collects relevant data pertinent to patients’ health or situation. Analyzes assessment data to determine diagnosis and care issues. Develops plans that prescribe interventions to attain outcomes. Implements care plans, coordinates care delivery, and promotes a safe environment. Evaluates progress toward achieving patient outcomes. Identifies patient outcomes and collaborates with patients, families, and healthcare providers. Provides learning opportunities for patients, families, and team members. Participates in discharge planning to ensure continuity of care. Delegates appropriately and coordinates duties of healthcare team members. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
