Step into a rewarding opportunity as a Bilingual Speech Language Pathologist working on a contract basis with K-12 students. This onsite role near Schaumburg, IL, offers the chance to make a lasting difference in elementary, middle, and high school students’ lives as you support their communication skills and academic growth across various developmental stages.
Your fluency in both English and Spanish will be integral as you provide a full range of speech and language services. The caseload covers a diverse group of students, allowing you to collaborate closely with educators and families. Early career professionals, including those seeking their Clinical Fellowship Year, are encouraged to apply and will be supported throughout the process.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Bilingual in Spanish and English
- Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with Speech-Language endorsement
- IL State License through IDFPR
- Experience or sincere interest working with children in school settings, from kindergarten through high school
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills
- Open to new graduates and Clinical Fellows (CFY)
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services to K–12 students in individual and group settings
- Evaluate and document student progress in alignment with IEP goals
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support and advocate for students’ unique needs
- Provide services both in English and Spanish, adapting materials and strategies for diverse learners
- Maintain thorough records and adhere to compliance standards set by the district and state regulations
