Empower students to find their voices and achieve their fullest potential by making an impact as a Speech-Language Pathologist. This contract position is perfect for a talented professional eager to collaborate with educators and families in a dynamic school environment near Arlington Heights, IL.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution
- Valid Illinois state licensure and ASHA certification (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) considered
- Previous experience in school settings preferred, but strong candidates from clinical backgrounds are welcome
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for working closely with students, staff, and parents
- Ability to manage a diverse caseload and individualize therapy approaches
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide direct therapy services to students with speech, language, and communication disorders
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families on student progress and intervention strategies
- Maintain accurate records of evaluations, progress, and IEP compliance
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to school-wide support initiatives
- Engage students in innovative, evidence-based activities to foster their communication abilities
