Looking for a role that makes a difference in students’ lives while utilizing your expertise in speech-language pathology? An opportunity awaits for dedicated, bilingual (Spanish and English) Speech-Language Pathologists (SLP-CCC) interested in a school-based contract position in the Arlington Heights, IL area. This full-time role, running from late August through early June, involves itinerant work across two school sites, providing a dynamic and rewarding professional experience.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
- Active Illinois Professional Educator License with SLP endorsement
- Current Illinois SLP license
- Bilingual proficiency in Spanish and English required
- Previous pediatric or school-based SLP experience preferred
- Strong collaboration, organization, and communication skills
Position Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy services to a varied caseload averaging about 45 students, with ages and needs varying by school site
- Develop and implement IEPs, conduct evaluations, and track student progress in accordance with district and state requirements
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to support student achievement and communication goals
- Travel between two assigned school sites and adapt to diverse educational environments
- Maintain thorough documentation and participate in relevant team meetings
This is a full-time, contract opportunity scheduled for 37.5 hours per week (7.5 hours per day), beginning August 27, 2026, and concluding June 9, 2027. The district’s supportive workload model allows you to focus on meaningful student outcomes rather than high caseloads. On-site work ensures a hands-on approach within the educational community.
