Step into a pivotal role supporting elementary students through a full-time, contract opportunity beginning August 19th and continuing through September 15th. This leave coverage position near Arlington Heights, IL, focuses on serving a lively elementary caseload, making an impact during a crucial period of the school year. Use your expertise to provide essential speech and language support, contributing to the growth and development of young learners.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Holds or eligible for SLP - CCC or SLP - CFY credentials
- Possesses prior school-based SLP experience, particularly with elementary-aged students
- Comfortable managing a diverse caseload of speech and language needs
- Strong collaboration skills for working with teachers, staff, and families
- Highly organized, adaptable, and proactive in a school setting
- Current state licensure or ability to obtain appropriate licensure
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct assessments, develop, and implement individualized education programs (IEPs)
- Provide direct speech-language intervention for students on caseload
- Work collaboratively with classroom teachers and special education staff
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services and progress
- Communicate effectively with families to support student success
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to student support plans
