Step into a rewarding role as a school-based Occupational Therapist supporting students across multiple schools near Arlington Heights, IL. In this full-time, contract position, you’ll work closely with children and young adults from preschool through transition age (up to 22) to help them build the skills necessary to thrive in and out of the classroom. This itinerant role provides an opportunity to engage with a diverse student population across elementary, middle, and high school settings, each with unique schedules and structures.

Key Qualifications and Experience:

• Active clinical license from the Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation (IDFPR)
• Active educator license from the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE)
• Previous experience working in a school-based setting is highly preferred
• Strong understanding of pediatric occupational therapy best practices
• Ability to adapt interventions for various age groups and educational needs
• Comfortable working across multiple school sites within the district
• Responsive and organized, able to manage varying caseloads
• Successful completion of fingerprinting and credentialing requirements by start date

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide direct and consultative occupational therapy services to students ages Pre K to 22
• Develop, implement, and review individualized therapy plans targeting student goals
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to foster student growth and participation
• Maintain clear and timely documentation for each student’s progress and IEP requirements
• Adapt to different school schedules and travel between assigned sites as needed
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute professional insight for student planning

This role begins August 27, 2026, and runs through June 9, 2027, with a weekly commitment of 35–37.5 hours. On-site service is required—remote or virtual options are not available.
