IT Intern

East Coast Warehouse & Distribution is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented IT Intern to support our Information Technology team. This internship provides hands-on experience across IT support, hardware deployment, user administration, cybersecurity best practices, and enterprise technology in a fast-paced logistics environment. The ideal candidate is pursuing a degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field and is eager to gain real-world experience supporting business technology and end users.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide first-level technical support for hardware, software, printers, mobile devices, and basic network issues.
• Assist with imaging, configuring, deploying, and replacing laptops, desktops, tablets, and mobile devices.
• Set up user accounts, reset passwords, and support access requests under IT supervision.
• Install and troubleshoot Microsoft Office, Windows, and approved business applications.
• Assist with inventory management of IT equipment and technology assets.
• Document support tickets, troubleshooting steps, and IT procedures.
• Support onboarding and offboarding activities, including equipment setup and account provisioning.
• Assist with conference room technology, audio/visual equipment, and meeting support.
• Help maintain organized cable management and workstation setups.
• Participate in cybersecurity awareness initiatives and follow company security policies.
• Assist with routine system updates, patching, and preventative maintenance.
• Support special IT projects and technology rollouts as assigned.

Qualifications:

• Currently pursuing an Associate's or Bachelor's degree in: Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Cybersecurity, or related technical field.
• Basic understanding of Windows operating systems.
• Familiarity with Microsoft 365 applications.
• Knowledge of computer hardware and basic networking concepts.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
• Positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience troubleshooting PCs or personal technology.
• Familiarity with Active Directory, Azure AD, Microsoft Intune, or Microsoft 365 administration.
• Basic understanding of networking concepts (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
• Experience with ticketing systems (ServiceNow, Jira, Freshservice, etc.) is a plus.
• Relevant coursework or technical certifications (CompTIA A+, Google IT Support, etc.) are a plus.
