We are seeking a skilled and motivated Collision Repair Technician to join our dynamic automotive repair team. In this role, you will be responsible for restoring vehicles to their original condition after collisions or damage, utilizing your expertise in auto body repair, welding, fabrication, and vehicle maintenance. Your energetic approach and attention to detail will ensure high-quality repairs that exceed customer expectations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work with advanced automotive welding equipment and fabrication techniques, contributing to vehicle restoration projects with precision and efficiency.
Duties
- Perform collision repairs on vehicles, including body panel replacement, dent removal, and structural realignment using auto body repair techniques.
- Utilize MIG welding, soldering, and automotive welding equipment to repair or fabricate sheet metal components.
- Conduct auto painting, sanding, detailing, and auto glass replacement to ensure a flawless finish.
- Use hand tools, power tools, sanding tools, and assembly equipment to complete repairs accurately and efficiently.
- Apply fabrication repair techniques for custom modifications or repairs involving sheet metal and structural components.
- Follow auto estimating procedures to assess damage and determine the scope of repairs needed.
- Ensure all repairs meet safety standards and quality control guidelines while adhering to dealership or shop protocols.
Skills
- Dealership experience or background working as an automotive body technician is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in MIG welding, automotive welding, soldering, and fabrication repair techniques.
- Strong mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance and automotive repair processes.
- Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, sanding tools, auto painting equipment, and auto glass replacement tools.
- Experience with auto restoration projects and working with sheet metal is a plus.
- Knowledge of auto estimating software and customer service principles for effective communication with clients.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and operate automotive welding equipment responsibly.
