RN: Case Manager

Job Description: Step into a travel Case Management Registered Nurse role where your focus is utilization review, evidence-based medical necessity screening, and making sure each case is reviewed with precision and confidence. You’ll run concurrent reviews using MCG guidelines, validate registration status against physician orders, and support admission, continued stay, and discharge review processes. This assignment works with a broad patient range (adolescents through geriatrics) and relies on strong documentation and tracking in the electronic medical record (including case management module updates). You’ll educate physicians and the care team on patient status as appropriate, coordinate and facilitate peer-to-peer calls when needed, and participate in appeals per the utilization review plan. You’ll also navigate key regulatory requirements, including the Two Midnight Rule, and respond to payer requests for clinical reviews. Bring your acute care case management/UR expertise to a Monday–Friday day schedule with every-other weekend coverage—where the work is detail-driven, fast-moving, and genuinely important (without the guesswork).
