Project ManagerGreenville, WIProject Manager is responsible for handling internal and external projects, especially customer-initiated projects. You will work closely with your team to ensure that all project requirements, budgets, deadlines, and schedules are on track. As Project Manager you will also act as the voice of the customer to the organization to facilitate collaboration in the design, build, and acceptance of the equipment or service necessary for successful projects within your assigned portfolio.To be a successful candidate, you will need to have proven experience in project management and the ability to lead project teams of various sizes.Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following (other duties may be assigned):Manage projects from start to finish, including project organization, maintaining schedule, meeting customer needs and managing projects costsProvide the best customer service in the industryCultivate an open communication environmentPreparing status reports and facilitating project meetingsEstablishing effective project communication plans as well as the execution of said plansCoordinating with cross discipline team members to make sure that all parties are on track with project requirements, budgets, deadlines, and schedulesMeeting with project team members to identify and resolve issuesSubmitting project deliverables and ensuring that they adhere to quality standardsPreparing status updates by gathering, analyzing and summarizing relevant informationFacilitating change requests to ensure that all parties are informed of the impacts on schedule and budgetCoordinating the development of user manuals, training materials and other documents as needed to enable successful implementation and turnover of the process or system to the appropriate stakeholdersIdentifying and developing new project process improvements opportunities with the teamObtaining cross functional and cross organizational team's acceptance of project deliverablesManaging cross functional and cross organizational team's need as well as satisfaction within project periodConducting post project evaluation and identifying successful and unsuccessful project elementsCompetencies: To perform the job successfully, an individual should demonstrate the following competencies:Understands business implications of decisionsWillingness to provide enthusiasm and creative solutions to meeting customer needs and achieving the company's goalsAbility to work independently without supervisionAbility to "think on your feet", creative problem solving, determine and advocate customer needsPersonable and able to develop and maintain good relationshipsAbility to maintain composure, positive attitude and organization with multiple tasks amidst constant interruptions and conflicting prioritiesAbility to lead project teams of various sizes and see them through to completionAble to complete projects in a timely mannerAbility to communicate (written and verbal) in EnglishAbility to read drawings and technical specifications of CAD workFinancial aptitude with knowledge of or ability to learn business concepts related to sales and marketing, forecasting, negotiating deals, estimating and tracking product and project costsAbility to negotiate with customers, suppliers and coworkersAbility to effectively balance between customer satisfaction and optimizing financial returnsEducation and/or Experience:Required:A bachelor's degree in a related field (Engineering, Project Management, or similar)Proven experience in project management (3-5 years)Budget management experiencePreferred:Project Management Professional (PMP) certificationA Master's degree in a related field (MBA, Engineering, or similar)Prior team management experiencePhysical Demands: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
