Plant Operator

Luck Stone's Fairfield, SC quarry is seeking a Plant Operator! Plant Operators perform start up and shut down procedures for the plant. Ability to operate primary, secondary, and tertiary plants. Operates and monitors major systems from a control station to maximize production and provide a quality product. Performs maintenance on the plants including tear downs, conveyor switches, and troubleshooting. Has the ability to learn welding and fabrication. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS 60% of job: Operateplant controls to ensure efficient production of aggregateproducts. 25% of job: Welds andrepairsplant surfaces and conveyors using a variety of processes for the purpose of ensuringthe availability,functionality, and safety. Usesvarious plant equipment to ensure the safe completion of repairs and maintenance. 10% of job: Maintain work area, equipment, andtoolsan uncluttered and organized mannerperforming routine care and maintenance of the plant. 5% of job: Coordinateswith others in completing projects/work orders safely and efficiently. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS Education:High School Diploma or GED Certifications:General Mineral Miner Work Experience: 1 – 3 years Aligned Company Values Quality Control Plant Startup and Operation Planning and Prioritization Cutting, Welding, and Fabrication Maintenance of Crushers, Screens, Feeders, and Conveyors Housekeeping and Organization Ability to lift and carry up to 45 pounds. ENVIRONMENT OR PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS Ability to work under conditions of frequent exposure to dusty conditions and the full range of weather conditions;frequentlyin, on, and around quarry high walls and pit; extended periods working from elevated positions or in tunnels. Bending, lifting, kneeling, ability to go up and down ladders.
