Job Summary Under general supervision, this position performs general office work in a school, including skilled operation of office equipment, standard office procedures, and responsible interactions with students, parents, and others. Key Responsibilities Maintain and report daily attendance. Type reports. Answer phones and take messages. Photocopy, assemble materials, and maintain files. Manage student enrollment and sectioning. Perform community-facing front office duties. Use Synergy, Outlook, and Google Suite/Google Drive daily. Schedule & Compensation Job hours: 8:00 AM – 4:30 PM, full‑time day job, 10 working months per year. Salary range: $22.68–$31.83 per hour based on years of service. Benefits information: Qualifications High School or GED diploma required. One year of responsible clerical and secretarial work in a busy office environment. Ability to use word processing and database tools, including OASIS, OSS, SIMS. Computer skills: Word processing, email, and database applications. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Working knowledge of business English, spelling, and arithmetic. Working knowledge of modern office practices and procedures. Ability to make minor decisions in accordance with established policies and procedures. Ability to maintain clerical records and prepare routine reports. Ability to maintain good relationships with the general public. Effective communication with staff, parents, students, and community members. Skill in operating a typewriter and a computer terminal for word‑processing or data‑system tasks. Excellent human relations skills. Knowledge of and ability to meet the seven core competencies of the Supporting Services Professional Growth System (SSPGS). Position Details Job Grade: 12.
