We are seeking an experienced Electrical Estimator to join a growing electrical construction team supporting projects throughout the Greater Philadelphia and South Jersey region.

This is not primarily a core-and-shell, apartment, or retail construction estimating position. We are looking for someone with experience estimating electrical work in environments such as industrial facilities, data centers, universities, hospitals, public works, infrastructure, controls, utilities, or specialized electrical distribution projects .

The right candidate will be comfortable receiving drawings, specifications, RFPs, and contract documents and developing accurate electrical estimates covering labor, materials, equipment, and project requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed electrical estimates from drawings, specifications, RFPs, and contract documents
• Perform electrical takeoffs and determine labor, material, equipment, and time requirements
• Estimate conduit, wire, electrical equipment, lighting, controls, and related systems
• Obtain and evaluate vendor and subcontractor pricing
• Prepare competitive project bids and participate in bid reviews
• Identify project risks, scope gaps, and opportunities to improve profitability
• Coordinate with project managers, field operations, vendors, and other stakeholders
• Participate in pre-bid meetings and occasional site visits as needed

Qualifications

• 3+ years of electrical estimating experience preferred; directly relevant experience and demonstrated ability are more important than a specific number of years
• Experience estimating electrical construction projects from drawings and specifications
• Experience using Accubid, McCormick, ConEst, or comparable electrical estimating software
• Strong understanding of electrical materials, labor, construction methods, and pricing
• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and specifications
• Strong Excel and computer skills
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills

Highly Desirable Experience

Experience estimating electrical work involving:

• Industrial facilities
• Data centers
• Hospitals or universities
• Controls and control rooms
• Water/wastewater or public works
• Exterior/site electrical
• Utility-related projects
• Facility electrical distribution and smaller substation projects

Previous hands-on experience as an electrician, journeyman electrician, or licensed electrician combined with professional estimating experience is highly valued.

What We're Looking For

We're looking for an electrical construction estimator—not an electrical design engineer .

You should be comfortable taking a set of electrical drawings, specifications, or an RFP and developing an estimate using professional estimating software.
