Contract | Days | 3x12-Hour Shifts (7:00–19:30) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care in a mixed-acuity NICU setting, caring for neonates ranging from less than 23 weeks gestational age through full-term newborns
• Manage Level 4 NICU acuity patients, including those requiring IV vasopressors, high-frequency ventilation, high-flow nasal cannula, and ventilator management
• Recognize and respond to Respiratory Distress Syndrome and other complex neonatal diagnoses
• Maintain typical patient ratios of 1:3, with occasional 1:4 ratios during surge periods
• Float within scope to Pediatric ICU, Level II NICU, and Mother-Baby Unit as needed to meet facility demands
• Complete required modules during orientation and annually as directed; module time is billable up to 4 hours per occurrence

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license (pending licensure may be considered at time of submission)
• Minimum 2 years of Level 3 NICU experience required
• Required certifications: BCLS and NRP (RQI certifications are not accepted)
• Proficiency with IV vasopressors, high-frequency ventilation, high-flow nasal cannula, and ventilator management
• Must live at least 100 miles from the facility to be eligible; a non-local driver's license is required on file
• Willingness and ability to float to Pediatric ICU, Level II NICU, and Mother-Baby Unit within scope

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Prior travel nursing experience
• Familiarity with Cerner electronic health records
• Experience caring for neonates across a broad gestational age spectrum in a high-acuity environment
