Position Title: Operator I

Department: Manufacturing / Production

Reports To: Production Supervisor

Position Summary


The Operator I is responsible for supporting manufacturing operations by assembling, testing, inspecting, and packaging products according to established work instructions, quality standards, and safety procedures. This position works in a fast-paced production environment and contributes to achieving daily production goals while maintaining high levels of quality and efficiency.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Assemble components and products according to detailed work instructions and specifications.
• Perform basic testing, inspection, and verification of products to ensure quality standards are met.
• Operate production equipment, hand tools, and testing devices as required.
• Identify and report defects, equipment malfunctions, or quality concerns to supervisors.
• Maintain accurate production and quality records.
• Package finished products and prepare materials for shipment.
• Follow all safety policies, procedures, and personal protective equipment (PPE) requirements.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area in accordance with 5S and company standards.
• Meet daily production targets while maintaining quality expectations.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives and participate in team meetings as required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous manufacturing, assembly, warehouse, or production experience preferred but not required.
• Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Basic computer skills preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• Ability to lift, push, pull, and carry up to 25-50 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
• Ability to perform repetitive hand and arm movements.
• Ability to bend, stoop, reach, and twist throughout the shift.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Work Environment

• Manufacturing and production facility environment.
• Exposure to noise, machinery, and production equipment.
• Required use of PPE and adherence to all safety guidelines.
