Registered Nurse - ICU

Job Description

Job Summary:

Provides specialized nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU setting, ensuring optimal patient outcomes through advanced clinical skills and compassionate support.

Responsibilities:

• Assess and monitor critically ill patients to identify changes in condition promptly.
• Administer medications, treatments, and life-support interventions as prescribed.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop and adjust patient care plans.
• Document patient status, interventions, and responses accurately within medical records.
• Educate patients and families on care procedures and post-discharge instructions.
• Maintain compliance with hospital policies, safety standards, and regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications:

• Valid ICU or Registered Nurse license in the state or compact licensing area.
• Minimum of 2 years of ICU or critical care nursing experience preferred.
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required.
• Strong assessment, critical thinking, and communication skills essential.
• Ability to work 3x12 night shifts and handle high-acuity patient care.
• Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
