Specialty Representative/Senior Specialty Representative - Primary Care - Sacramento, CA

Amgen seeks a Specialty Representative or Senior Specialty Representative for its Sacramento, California territory to promote pharmaceutical products and build relationships with medical professionals. The role combines clinical knowledge delivery with sales strategy execution and account management across oncology, inflammation, general medicine, and rare disease areas.

Responsibilities

• Deliver clinical product knowledge to medical professionals and communicate evidence-based benefits for appropriate utilization
• Implement marketing strategy and achieve territory sales targets through in-person and virtual engagement with healthcare providers
• Develop and manage customer relationships including customizing interactions, ensuring product access, and resolving reimbursement issues
• Conduct medical education programs and maintain product contracts within assigned Sacramento territory
• Analyze sales effectiveness, provide market feedback, and collaborate with district management on territory planning

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree, or Associate's degree with 4 years sales experience, or high school diploma with 6 years sales experience
• For Senior role: Bachelor's degree with 3 years sales/clinical healthcare experience, or Associate's with 6 years combined experience
• Demonstrated sales performance and ability to influence medical professionals and achieve sales targets
• Knowledge of pharmaceutical, biotech, healthcare, or medical device industries preferred
• Experience in specialty areas such as oncology, cardiology, inflammation, nephrology, or related therapeutic fields preferred
• Strong relationship-building and communication skills with focus on clinical and business outcomes

Compensation: $89,880–$121,602 base annually
