Travel Surgical Tech/ORT - Certified Surgical Technologist/CST

American Traveler is seeking a Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) with orthopedic, neuro, and vascular OR experience for a day-shift position at an acute care hospital ASC.

Job Details

• Work setting is an Ambulatory Surgery Center (ASC) within a short-term acute care hospital with 80 staffed beds,
• Outpatient surgical cases are the primary focus; inpatient and trauma case experience is preferred,
• Required case experience includes orthopedic, neuro, and vascular surgery,
• Day shift schedule: Monday-Friday, 7:00 AM-3:30 PM (5x8-hour shifts),
• Weekends required, approximately 3 per schedule,
• On-call required: one weeknight per week and every 2nd or 3rd Saturday or Sunday from 0700-0700, with a 20-minute response time,
• Occasional night shift coverage may be required within the contract period,
• Charting is performed using Epic (experience required),
• Scrubs are provided for OR staff,
• Free parking available on site,

Job Requirements

• Minimum of 1 year of surgical technologist experience required,
• Experience in orthopedic, neuro, and vascular surgical cases is required,
• BLS certification required,
• Epic EMR proficiency required,
• Active professional license required if applicable,
• At least 2 supervisory references covering 1 year of employment within the last 3 years in a comparable specialty/setting required for consideration,
• SSN and DOB required for consideration,

• Former permanent staff must wait at least 3 months before returning as a traveler and must reside more than 50 miles from the facility,
