About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night 4x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1 year of experience required License: Registered Nurse License required; compact license accepted Certifications: BCLS and NIHSS required; ACLS preferred Must-Have: Ability to work nights, weekdays, some weekends, holidays, and float as needed Description: MedSurg RN for Acute Care. 3x12 or 4x12 shifts available, nights required. Must be willing to work on weekdays, some weekends, holidays, and float to different units. The unit has 18 beds. Experience in a critical access hospital setting is preferred. Contract length is for 13 weeks. Scrubs provided are wine and/or white. CPSI is the electronic medical record system used. Candidates will need to demonstrate competency in specialty-specific skills. A minimum of 2 manager or charge nurse references from the past 2 years is required. Candidates must have the required certifications included in their submittal package. The unit cannot guarantee a blocked schedule but will try to accommodate traveler preferences as much as possible. Candidates must have a permanent address within 100 miles from the facility, with some exceptions considered on a case-by-case basis. Previous probationary actions on a license will be reviewed individually. Former employees must wait 2 years before returning as a traveler. Staffing and scheduling details will be communicated upon hire. Orientation will be necessary prior to the start of the contract.
