Job Description:

We are seeking dedicated Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) to work in Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD) Intermediate Care Facilities (ICF). Shifts primarily include evenings from 10:30 PM to 7:00 AM Monday through Friday, with additional Saturday/Sunday shifts from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM. Hours may vary weekly, offering flexibility with plenty of open shifts availablethough not guaranteed. Orientation involves at least 5 consecutive days on the day shift from 6:30 AM to 3:00 PM, followed by ongoing orientation until the team and the nurse feel comfortable working independently on their assigned shift. The daylight orientation is mandatory, as the care provided in IDD facilities differs from that in hospitals or nursing homes. Shifts are pre-scheduled and may be used to cover call-offs. Availability is generally taken monthly, and overtime opportunities are offered six weeks in advance to regular staff, with remaining openings available to agency nurses afterward. Applicants are preferred to reside within 30 miles of the facility, and pickups at multiple houses within the same campus are possible, as they are within walking distance.
