Full Time Custodian

Custodian PositionNorth Polk Community School District is seeking a custodian in the North Polk district, located in Alleman, Iowa. The individual must be flexible, collaborative, and willing to learn and grow. The position offers $21.07 per hour and benefits including medical, dental, vision, and life insurance, paid leaves, and IPERS.Duties and responsibilities include maintaining the facility in excellent cleanliness, performing general maintenance, reporting major repairs, and ensuring a safe environment. The custodian will also greet all students, faculty, staff, and visitors courteously, maintain confidentiality, and adhere to state and federal laws, board policies, and administrative rules.Specifications/Qualifications: High School Diploma or equivalent, minimum of 18 years of age, no experience required, criminal background check required, ability to complete a pre-hire physical examination, basic problem solving skills, ability to operate cleaning equipment, ability to prioritize tasks, ability to follow Board of Education policies, ability to communicate and interact effectively with diverse backgrounds, and ability to recognize and report unsafe conditions.
