Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Holding Duration: 18 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 1 year required License: Current, active nursing license required Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required Must-Have: - Telemetry experience - Ability to interpret dysrhythmias - Management of dysrhythmias Description: This is a fast-paced unit serving as an admission unit. The role involves taking admitted patients and initiating the inpatient standard of care. The unit has a high turnover of patients, with frequent transfers in and out. Ratios are 1 RN to 4-5 patients, with a mix of medical-surgical and progressive care acuity. RNs are required to monitor telemetry and manage a variety of medical equipment. Strong time management skills are essential. The patient population is diverse, covering all specialties except ICU-level patients. Relief charge may be required, and flexibility in scheduling is expected. The unit may require floating to adjacent areas as needed.
