Business Development Representative

J&S Construction is seeking a relationship-driven Business Development Representative to help drive the company's continued growth throughout Middle Tennessee and the Upper Cumberland. As a fourth-generation, family-owned commercial contractor with nearly 100 years of history, J&S has built its reputation on integrity, quality, and long-term client relationships. We’re looking for someone who enjoys building partnerships and creating opportunities—not simply selling projects. What You’ll Do Build relationships with owners, developers, architects, engineers, brokers, municipalities, and strategic partners. Identify and pursue new commercial construction opportunities. Represent J&S at networking events, client meetings, and industry functions. Collaborate with executive leadership, estimating, preconstruction, and operations throughout the pursuit process. Assist with proposals, presentations, RFQs/RFPs, and client communications. Manage CRM activity and maintain a healthy opportunity pipeline. Generate both new business and repeat business through long-term relationship development. What We’re Looking For 5+ years of experience in business development, project management, construction, client relations, or outside sales. Commercial construction experience strongly preferred. Experience with a General Contractor, Construction Manager, Developer, Engineering or Architecture firm, or related industry. Strong networking, communication, and relationship-building skills. Self-motivated with a high level of integrity and professionalism. CRM experience is a plus. Bachelor’s degree preferred, but not required. Project Managers interested in transitioning into business development are encouraged to apply. Why J&S Construction?
