They identify defects, and report when instances of poor-quality items increase. Supplier Quality Technicians assist the Supplier Quality Engineers with Corrective Actions and help execute actions identified from them. You'll play a key role in ensuring that all products meet our established requirements for reliability and workmanship, as well as other quality control program standards. The ideal candidate has keen attention to detail and is proficient in using precision dimensional inspection equipment including, but not limited to, calipers and micrometers.How You Will Contribute To Revolutionizing Electric AviationAssist Quality Engineers with Conformity efforts Ensuring parts have proper documentation, properly segregated; and dispositioned as neededPeriodic inspection of components during Corrective actions investigations and Containment activitiesContribute to the RCCA(root cause/Corrective action) discussionsAssist with FAI review and inspection action identified by Quality EngineeringAssist in the generation of First Article Inspections per AS9100Complete required documentation and enter it into the ERP system, create inspection reports as neededInspects incoming components and raw materials using precision measuring instruments to determine conformance to product specifications and Aerospace Standards as requiredAssign traceability to incoming raw material, quarantine, and scrap componentsContribute to team effort by accomplishing related results as neededPerform tasks as needed per individual jobsMaintain a clean work environment, and comply with safety requirementsMinimum QualificationsHigh School graduate or equivalentAbility to read and interpret blueprints and Engineering drawingsAt least 1 year of experience in manufacturing operationsWorking knowledge of GD&TExperience performing dimensional inspections using standard precision measurement tools such as calipers, micrometers, and gage blocksProficient in the use of computer applications such as Google Sheets, Microsoft Excel, and/or web-based softwareAttention to detailStrong written and verbal communication skillsMechanical aptitudeAbility to work independently, but function as a team playerAbove and Beyond Qualifications That Will Distinguish YouCorrective actions Discipline (8D, RCCA) experienceTwo or four-year degree in Engineering (mechanical or electrical preferred)Working knowledge of CAD software including Catia, or OnshapeTwo or more years of experience in Quality Control in AerospaceCertification from the American Society for Quality (ASQ)Experience with quality control techniques such as Six SigmaKnowledge of Quality Management Systems such as AS9100Knowledge of FAA regulations and Aerospace conformity requirementsExperienced interfacing with Business Enterprise Systems such as PlexExperience with Inspection software such as InspectionXpert, NetInspect, or equivalent reporting softwareExperience working with a manufacturing team to develop new processesPhysical Demands and Work Environment: The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Employees must have excellent hand-eye coordination and good manual dexterity in both hands.
