Healthcare Controller - Incentive Eligible & Leadership

This position is incentive eligible. Job Summary The Controller is responsible for ensuring accurate financial reporting and providing leadership and direction. Direct management responsibilities include planning, organizing, budgeting, controlling, directing, and cost/benefit analysis. Other responsibilities include general finance functions, monthly financial reporting, and providing financial analysis to aid management decision making. Essential Job Functions Ensures integrity and accuracy of reported financial information, including all aspects of monthly financial close for Metropolitan and Northeast Methodist Hospitals and all associated entities. Prepares specific detail month‑end responsibilities, including coordination of all month‑end activities, detail analytical review of managed care revenue and contractuals by payer, global revenue and expense analysis, and global balance sheet account review. Prepares monthly financial reports, specifically monthly executive summaries and net revenue by payer schedules. Prepares annual facility budgets. Conducts routine (monthly) reviews of all balance sheet account reconciliations. Develops and maintains facility‑specific audit program and financial report distribution packet. Qualifications Must have a BS/BA in Finance or Accounting. Must have four years of progressive leadership experience with proven leadership capabilities within the healthcare industry. Must have a minimum of five years of financial/accounting experience.
