Position Overview

Join our dynamic team in a 16-bed Intensive Care Unit (ICU) that provides a mixed-acuity environment catering to Critical Care, Stepdown, and Cardiac Telemetry patients. Our team consists of dedicated nurses, patient support technicians, and monitor technicians who strive to deliver quality, patient-centered care across all levels of patient acuity. This department presents numerous challenges and requires flexibility, making it an excellent opportunity to develop a broad skill set.

Shift Details

• Shift Type: Night 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)

Responsibilities

As part of the ICU team, you will be expected to:

• Provide direct patient care to a diverse population
• Manage continuous IV sedation and procedural sedation administration
• Interpret and manage dysrhythmias effectively
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary support teams including IV Teams, Respiratory Services, and Rapid Response Teams

Qualifications

• Required Certifications:
  
  
  • ACLS
  • BLS
  • NIHSS
  • Certification in Critical Care Nursing (CCRN) preferred
• Experience:
  
  
  • Minimum of 2 years of ICU experience required
  • Experience with ventilated patients is a plus

Patient ratios vary from 1:2 to 1:4, offering an engaging work environment with opportunities for professional growth. Orientation hours are set at 36 hours, and annual compliance is required. Candidates must be prepared for floating to other units as needed based on census demands, while ensuring competencies for tasks have been demonstrated and documented.
