Brand Redesign (Graphic Design and UX/UI)

Company Description Vermilion is an arts organization offering education and career strategy to artists. Based in NYC, we serve creatives of all kinds: actors, writers, directors, visual artists, dancers, executives, and more. Our classes and coaching empower artists to release self-criticism, triumph over procrastination, and start the life of your dreams immediately. We also partner with world-class creatives in our classes, to bring you high-level workshops spanning film, television, and the performing arts. Flat rate of $1000 for the entire brand and website redesign. Project estimated timeline: Nov 1-30.

Role Description This is a part-time hybrid role based in New York, NY, with work both in-person and from home. The Graphic and UX/UI Designer will create a brand identity and strategy for our company, Vermilion, including a website redesign, social media overhaul, and new visual brand identity. This involves creating visual assets and interfaces for web, mobile, and social media, ensuring consistency with brand guidelines and project goals. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing layouts and graphics, designing user flows and wireframes, rebuilding our website via template, preparing assets for digital campaigns, and refining designs based on feedback and user insights. The designer will collaborate with marketing and our CEO to translate requirements into intuitive, accessible, and visually compelling experiences via our website and branding.

Qualifications

• Strong graphic design capabilities, including Graphics and UX/UI
• Experience creating branded visual content across multiple kinds of media (digital, social, UX)
• Demonstrated UX/UI design skills, including wireframing, prototyping, and user-friendly interfaces.
• Comfort with industry-standard design software (e.g., Figma, Sketch, Adobe XD, Photoshop, Illustrator). Kajabi or similar preferred but not required
• Ability to interpret creative briefs, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
• Strong communication and collaboration skills, with openness to feedback and iterative design.
• Relevant education or equivalent experience in Design, Visual Arts, UX/UI, or a related field.
• Preference given for candidates with an MA or MFA
• Preference given for candidates who have noteworthy industry experience with a robust branding, design, and UX/UI portfolio

Flat rate of $1000 for the brand and website redesign. Project estimated timeline: Nov 1-30.
