Are you a detail-driven billing professional with experience in high-volume invoice processing? We are actively recruiting two Senior Billing Specialists on behalf of a well-established, nationally recognized project and cost management consultancy in the construction industry. Schedule: Monday–Thursday in office, remote every Friday
Pay: $30–$32/hour
Start: ASAP — interviews are actively being scheduled

 

What You'll Be Doing

 

• Own the monthly billing cycle from draft to final invoice — pulling, reviewing, and processing a high volume of invoices through an integrated ERP system within a tight closing window
• Dig into billing discrepancies and figure out what's driving them, then resolve them before they become client-facing problems
• Cross-check contracts, purchase orders, and change orders against what's being billed to make sure everything lines up
• Move costs and revenue between internal cost centers when needed, keeping the books accurate without disrupting what the client sees
• Keep tabs on subconsultant billing and respond to questions from Project Managers and the Collections team as invoices move through the pipeline
• Build out reporting in Excel pulled from the ERP to support billing reviews and month-end close
• Reconcile account balances, receipts, and expense documentation against what's been recorded
• Get invoices and supporting paperwork ready for the accounting system, and pitch in on audit prep and auditor questions when needed
• Wrap up completed contracts in the accounting system once a project closes out
• Pick up other related tasks as they come up — this role touches a lot of moving pieces

 

What We're Looking For

 

• 4+ years specifically in billing — bonus points if you've handled serious transaction volume
• Hands-on time in a real ERP system like Deltek, MAS200, or Great Plains (QuickBooks alone won't cover what this role needs)
• Construction industry background is a strong plus
• Comfortable with AP and expense reporting work in addition to core billing duties
• Know your way around journal entries and general ledger postings
• Excel skills that go beyond the basics — pivot tables, formulas, the works
• You work well with people, even when they're in a hurry or have a lot of questions
• Sharp eye for detail, naturally organized, and good at troubleshooting when something doesn't add up
