Production SupervisorThe primary role of a Production Supervisor is to oversee and coordinate the activities of production and operating workers.ResponsibilitiesRecommend measures to motivate employees and improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency.Review operations and collaborate with technical or administrative staff to resolve production or processing issues.Develop and implement production tracking and quality control systems, analyzing production quality control and maintenance to detect problems.Hire, train, evaluate, and discharge staff, and resolve personal grievances.Prepare and maintain production reports and personnel records.Essential SkillsStrong verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control, and techniques for maximizing effective manufacture and distribution.Understanding of machines and tools, including their design, use, repair, and maintenance.Additional Skills & QualificationsFamiliarity with design techniques, tools, and principles involved in the production of precision technical plans, blueprints, and drawings.Experience in production supervision.High school diploma or GED required; Associate's degree in business or related field preferred.10 years of relevant experience.Work EnvironmentThis is a contract position based in the US.
