Key Qualifications:

• Valid Rhode Island Para and/or Teacher Assistant Certification required
• Previous school-based experience strongly preferred
• Background in behavior management is highly valued
• Ability to adapt support strategies for a diverse range of student needs and grade levels
• Strong communication, patience, and collaboration skills essential

Responsibilities:

• Provide 1:1 support to students, ensuring individualized attention for optimal learning
• Collaborate with teachers and educational teams in both classroom and dedicated care settings
• Assist with classroom activities, behavior interventions, and academic engagement for students in grades K–12
• Encourage a safe, supportive, and inclusive learning environment tailored to each student’s unique strengths
• Document student progress and assist in implementing academic and behavioral plans
