Desired Skills & Experience:

• Previous experience working as a paraprofessional or in related roles within a school setting
• Strong background in pediatric care or experience supporting children with unique needs
• Ability to communicate clearly and compassionately with students, teachers, and parents
• Patient, resourceful, and adaptable when facing new challenges or changes in routine
• Proficient in following educational plans and implementing accommodations as needed
• Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working one-on-one with students

Responsibilities:

• Provide direct 1:1 support to assigned student throughout the school day, assisting with academic tasks, classroom participation, and social interaction
• Help implement Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) under the direction of certified staff
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and encouraging environment that supports student growth
• Assist with daily routines, activities, and transitions to promote independence and confidence
• Communicate observations and student progress to teachers and involved professionals
• Respond calmly and effectively during challenging situations, ensuring student safety and well-being
