Job Description

Step into a rewarding contract opportunity as a paraprofessional supporting students in an engaging school setting. As a 1:1 pediatric paraprofessional, you will help create a positive and inclusive learning environment, making a meaningful difference in the lives of children requiring individualized attention.

In this position, you will work directly with students who benefit from one-on-one support, helping them achieve their educational goals while promoting their well-being and independence. Collaborate with teachers, specialists, and school staff to deliver effective, compassionate assistance tailored to each child's unique needs.

Desired Qualifications:

Previous experience as a paraprofessional, educational aide, or in a related child-focused support role
Familiarity with providing 1:1 support for pediatric populations within a school environment
Strong communication, patience, and organizational skills
Ability to follow specific academic or behavioral plans as directed by educators and specialists
Demonstrated dedication to student safety, engagement, and success
Flexibility and a proactive attitude when faced with varying daily responsibilities
High school diploma or equivalent required; relevant certifications or associate’s degree preferred

Key Responsibilities:

Provide individualized instructional, behavioral, and emotional support to assigned students throughout the school day
Assist in implementing teacher-developed lesson plans and accommodations
Support students with daily activities, mobility, and personal care if needed
Foster an inclusive, encouraging, and safe classroom environment
Document student progress and communicate with staff regarding student needs
Participate in team meetings and ongoing professional development
